ART MIDDLE EAST (AME), established in 2010, promotes the emerging contemporary art of the Middle East region to foster the cultural relationship between the East and West.  The structured programs, including artist talks, panel discussions, studio visits, book-signings, and private collection tours, spotlight the artists and organizations presenting them throughout one of the important global destinations in the art world - New York City and internationally.

Founded by Nazy Nazhand, AME has provided artistic programming during NY Armory Arts Week since 2010 and Art Platform – Los Angeles, promoting Middle Eastern contemporary art through innovative collaborations and ambitious art presentations.  
A platform for promotion and production, AME brings together artists, organizations,
and resources in order to help realize dynamic and provocative projects.

NAZY NAZHAND is the founder of ART MIDDLE EAST (AME), a series of cultural programs and events which promote contemporary Middle Eastern art and artists on an international platform. She is a contributing writer for such publications as Artinfo, Modern Painters, Whitewall and T Magazine, including Artnet, for which she was the curator of their first online Middle Eastern Auction. Nazhand was born in Tehran, Iran and currently resides
in New York City.
